MY STORY
I spent 15 years in the United States Coast Guard as a Boatswains Mate but now it’s time to pass on my knowledge. Thinking about my time in the service, I realized some of my favorite memories were when I was teaching others. I love that “Lightbulb Moment” when something clicks for someone. I look forward to helping folks build confidence in there abilities and staying safe on the water.
Curriculum geared toward homeschoolers and beginners
Knot Tying, Nomenclature and Safe Boating Practices
You’ll learn to tie the must know knots for use out on the water. Also go over nautical nomenclature and and safe boating practices.
Learn to Splice Line
I’ll teach to splice 3-strand line (rope) and double braided line. We’ll splice back splices and create eyes in the end of both types of lines.
